Contract terms and conditions
Item 1 applies to customers with direct debit contracts. It does not apply to monthly cards or single visits.
- A four (4) week e-billing membership is valid indefinitely with a one full calendar month’s notice period. Membership is always personal. The notice period begins on the first day of the full month following the day of termination.
- A contract for someone under the age of 18 is made by the guardian, who is responsible for the payment and ensuring that the person under their care behaves appropriately at the gym, following the terms and conditions of this agreement.
- The e-bill for Fit Tammisto’s exercise services (Scandinavian Wellness Group Oy) will appear in your online bank approximately 14-21 days before the due date.
- The 28-day (4-week) exercise period always starts from the due date of the bill.
- Remember to activate e-billing in your online bank as soon as possible. Paper invoices can also be lost by the mail, and the card will be deactivated 7 days after the due date.
- We are not responsible for lost or delayed paper invoices by the mail or for any resulting collection costs. For this reason, we always recommend using e-billing. We remind you of this via email and at the desk.
- It is important to pay the bill by the due date because the card will stop functioning if the payment is overdue by seven (7) days. If the payment is late, the card will be reactivated with a 2-3 day delay once the payment is visible in the billing company’s system. You can reactivate the card more quickly by paying the bill at the reception desk.
- Not paying the bill, terminating e-billing through the bank, or not visiting the fitness center does not constitute termination.
- Terminations must always be made via email to info(at)fit-tammisto.fi.
- During a promotional period at Fit Tammisto, you cannot terminate your membership. After the promotional period ends, you may terminate, after which there is always a one (1) calendar month notice period. Freezing the card is not allowed during the promotional period.
- The customer can freeze the e-billing membership. For this, we need the start and end dates of the freeze, which must be reported via email to info@fit-tammisto.fi. The minimum duration of the freeze is 2 weeks, and the maximum is 1 year. Membership will automatically continue when the freeze ends. If a bill has been generated before the start of the freeze, it must be paid. These paid days will be credited as training days when the freeze ends. There are no additional fees for the freeze.
- Customers exercise and/or participate in group classes at their own risk. This applies to the gym, group exercise areas, and other general facilities of the fitness center, as well as dressing and shower facilities.
- The customer must ensure that their child manages well in the children’s area and supervise their own child. Children are not allowed to run freely in the fitness center premises. We follow TUKES safety regulations.
- The fitness center is not responsible for valuables brought into the gym by customers.
- Gym/group exercise fees will not be reimbursed retrospectively in cases of illness. Also, not using the membership does not entitle to refunds and is not considered a termination.
- Any price changes will be announced to members one (1) month before the new pricing comes into effect, after which the price increase will automatically take effect.
- Termination or suspension of membership will only take effect once the contract terms, notice period, billing/outstanding payments, and other relevant issues have been resolved.
- The customer must be prepared to prove their identity.
- Not paying the bill or not visiting the gym is not equivalent to termination. Termination must be done via email to info(at)fit-tammisto.fi.
- You cannot terminate directly from a freeze; the notice period is always at least one (1) calendar month.
- If a member brings or allows an unauthorized person into the fitness center through the front door without permission from customer service, or if the member behaves inappropriately, a fee will be charged from the member for each such visit by an unauthorized person, calculated as the four (4) week membership fee multiplied by five according to the price list.
- The key card is personal. The key card must always be with you when entering the fitness center. The member must prove their identity upon request. A fee will be charged according to the current price list for replacing a lost card. The loss of the key card must be immediately reported to the fitness center staff. If someone else uses the key card, and the loss has not been immediately reported to the fitness center in writing, the fitness center is not responsible for purchases made from the vending machine. Additionally, a fee will be charged for each unauthorized visit according to the price list. If the violation is repeated despite warnings, membership may be canceled completely. In such a case, no refunds will be given.
- The fitness center is obliged to notify the member of changes in VAT or other governmental measures affecting prices at least one (1) month before such changes are applied to the prices payable by the member.
- A first-time visitor will receive a discount on the single visit price with a receipt if they later purchase a membership.
- In case of payment delays, the center has the right to charge the customer interest for late payments according to the Interest Act and reminder fees. If the bill needs to be sent to collections, the customer will pay the collection fees.
- If a member neglects the agreed payments despite reminders, membership can be terminated with immediate effect.
- In corporate agreements, the parties are Fit Tammisto Fitness Center (Scandinavian Wellness Group Oy) and the member as an individual. The company compensates the member for the amount defined in the agreement for training. If the member leaves the company’s employment or the company stops paying the agreed portion, the member is ultimately responsible as an individual for payments and any costs due to payment delays as described in section 11.
- We maintain a customer registry. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), supplemented and specified by national legislation. The privacy policy of the fitness club is published on our website and is also available at the fitness center upon request.
- No refunds will be given due to forced closures of gyms ordered by the Regional State Administrative Agency. No refunds will be made for unused 10-time cards or single visits.
- An external personal trainer can train their client with us, but both the personal trainer and the client must have a valid card or single visit pass. Recruiting clients from Fit Tammisto and advertising one’s services is prohibited. The privacy policy can be read here.
